When he is not leading operations at the commercial real estate brokerage, Houston resident David Guion is an avid golf enthusiast. He enjoys teaching the gamer to his children and has played on countless courses throughout the Houston region, including Whispering Pines.
The course at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity ranks as the top course in Texas, according to Golf Digest ratings for the 2021–2022 golf season.
Whispering Pines is a 7,468-yard, par 72 course with a 62.3161 course rating. A Chet Williams design circa 2000, the course ranks №55 in the United States. Williams carefully defined the course through precise bunkering and green contours while taking advantage of the property’s gently rolling landscape. The course is highlighted by holes 13 through 18, which follow along the scenic, alligator-infested shores of Caney Creek and Lake Livingston.
Whispering Pines debuted on the Golf Digest list of the 100 greatest courses in America at №75 in 2013 and has continued to climb the rankings ever since.
